Setting up your Box Enterprise account

You will receive a system-generated e-mail from Box Enterprise (noreply@box.com) when we invite you to our folder:

If you did not receive the e-mail above, we recommend you to whitelist noreply@box.com in your spam filter. In the meantime, you can use the Reset Password feature on our Box Enterprise page to access your account.

When you click on the link in the e-mail, it will lead you to the sign-up page. Please fill in your name, e-mail address, and password under Account Information:

After your account is setup, it will go through a basic tutorial of Box Enterprise:

When you are done with the tutorial, you will be asked to accept our invite:

Click Accept and now you have access to our folder where we can exchange documents securely:

To enhance the security of your Box Enterprise account, please implement the following security settings:

Click on your name on the top right of your Box account –> Account Settings:

Click on the Security tab –> Check Require 2-step verification for unrecognized logins –> Input your mobile number –> click Continue –> Follow the instructions on screen:

Uploading documents to share with auditors:

Inside the Box portal, you will find three folders:

  • Document Exchange – This is the primary folder to exchange workpapers with auditors. Inside this folder, you will find individual folders for each audit area. If you would like specific departmental personnel to have access to one or more audit area folders, please call (562) 802-3581.
  • Audit Reports – This folder is reserved for final audit reports we issue.
  • Audit Workpapers – This is where if you will find the final copy of our audit workpapers.

If you are not the primary contact of the Bank, you may only see a folder for your specific audit area.

To upload, simply select the files on your computer, then drag and drop them to the Box Enterprise portal:

Alternatively, you may click the Upload button, then select the file(s) to upload:

Notifying auditors of your uploads

If you want to e-mail the auditor after you’ve uploaded a folder/file, simply check the folder or file using the check box on the right of the folder/file:

You will now see an e-mail icon at the top, click on that and the notification box will pop up:

Simply fill out who you want to send the notification to and hit Send. Please note that you can only e-mail collaborators who have permissions to this folder. The list of collaborators are on the right-hand side within each Box folder:

Downloading documents uploaded by auditors

To download a single file, simply right-click the file –> Download:

If you are downloading more than one file at a time, you can select more than one file using the check box on the right of each file. Once all of the files have been selected, simply right-click –> Download. If you would like to download all of the files inside the folder, click on the check box on the upper right corner, right-click in the file area –> Download:

Sorting files and changing view options on Box Enterprise

Click on the up/down arrows in the upper right corner. You can then choose to sort files by Name, Date, or Size. You may also sort files by ascending/descending by sorting the files again.

You can also toggle between icon and list view using the same menu:
